Job Description

We are seeking an experienced State Certified Pharmacy Technician for a well-known client in West Columbia, SC. This position is a contract role lasting until April 30th and has full-time hours Mon - Fri from 8 - 5 pm. This position has pay starting at $19.83 hr.

The State Certified Pharmacy Technician will assist in prescription order entry and obtaining new written prescriptions in a timely manner. In states where permitted, the Pharmacy Support Technician assists with verbal orders from a physician’s agent under the direct supervision of a pharmacist .

Responsibilities

• Ensure prescription orders are entered accurately and timely for the review of a pharmacist
• Requests updated orders for current patients and request clarification of orders when necessary
• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, can obtain verbal orders from a medical agent of a physician
• Assists pharmacists in any prescription related task
• Responsible for communicating order changes or new orders to pertinent staff members
• Monitors clinical follow-ups to ensure the appropriate follow-ups are completed in a timely manner

Qualifications

• State Certified Pharmacy Technician License AND Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, medical terminology, and medication administration.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
