We need a talented Owner’s Rep / Construction Project Manager to support our aircraft maintenance hangar project at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

WHAT WE DO

We help build airports. AvAirPros supports our airline and airport clients by providing experienced staff who serve as Airline Liaisons, Technical Representatives, and Project Managers for our clients on capital improvement projects as well as support the airlines and airports on business, financial, technical, and operational issues.

WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND

Education : Architecture, Business, Construction, or Engineering degree preferred.

Experience : 10+ years of complex airport construction projects or airport real estate.

Industry : Knowledge of airport construction.

Keywords : Owners Rep, Stakeholder Management, Capital Improvement Projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our on-site project team leader you’ll bring your understanding of aviation construction to the design, permitting, build, and closeout of this $100M 3-bay maintenance hangar. The position operates with significant independence and minimal supervision. You’ll perform daily site walkthroughs to track contractor progress and are responsible for ensuring all project stakeholders (owner, design team, contractor, and airport) receive the necessary information accurately and promptly.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Collaboratively work with stakeholders to confirm the project is within scope, schedule, and budget, consult on the proposed changes, and manage contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs and communicate relevant information
  • Track and manage contractor progress and file weekly progress reports
  • Responsible for the routine maintenance and updates to the project file system
  • Develop and coordinate the integration of schedules and budgets
  • Monitor progress, provide financial control, and ensure quality control of the project
  • Identify and evaluate alternative solutions to best meet project goals
  • Oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other outside vendors
  • Prepare memos, reports, memos, briefings and other client deliverables
  • Assist project team with tracking and reporting of logistics, phasing, and construction plans
