POSITION OVERVIEW
The Westminster Schools is committed to providing the best fit technology resources and solutions in support of the school's mission. The IT Services department is responsible for monitoring the technology needs of the school, evaluating new and emerging technologies, and providing resources necessary to enhance communication for all members of the school community.
The IT Services Audio Visual Engineer leads the various decision-making capacities related to classroom, office,
conference, and auditorium audio/visual and multimedia technology. They report directly to the Chief Information Officer and serves as a leader of the A/V support team. They work closely with other members of the IT Services department to deliver the expected strategic benefits to the Westminster Schools. This position provides event and campus A/V support with a strong customer service commitment and user satisfaction as the goal. This position has four major areas of responsibility:

Position Status: This position is a salaried, nonexempt, full time, 12-month position.
Hours of Work: Typical hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, M-F. Some evening work will be required. Saturday work may occur. Westminster is a drug-free, smoke-free campus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity, both indoors and out. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
TRAVEL
Required travel is primarily associated with planned events, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
